To celebrate the return of the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships (The Aussies) to the Sunshine Coast for the first time since 1980, Surf Life Saving will be holding the annual Aussie Ocean Swim on Saturday 16th April 2016 at Mooloolaba Beach.
The 2km swim is open to Surf Lifesavers and the wider community and offers entrants the chance to be part of the iconic 'Aussies' festival, including an exclusive finishers experience in the main competition area at the Australian Championships.
Whether you’re trying to better a time or just in it to have a go – everyone is welcome to share in the fun, exhilaration and accomplishment! Entry is $50, which includes an event cap and timing chip, and is open to all ocean swimmers 16 years and above.
Registration Location: Grass area on beach side of Mooloolaba Surf Club
Entries close: Thursday, 14th April 2016, 5pm. Some late entries taken from 7am on 16th April at registration site.
