TYPE: Cycling
LOCATION: Ruth Whitfield Memorial Park, North Brisbane, QLD
DISTANCE: 155km
LifeFlight’s Tour de Rescue is a bike ride with a difference. On this ride, you will get to cycle with Australian cycling legend and 3x Tour de France green jersey winner, Robbie McEwen. The Tour de Rescue is capped at only 100 participants to ensure all riders have the opportunity to chat and ride alongside Robbie McEwen who will have just finished commentating the Tour de France circuit. The 155km course will take cyclists from North Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast on a new, scenic route which includes 1763m of climbing. This fully supported ride will have a police escort and offer food, drinks and supplements along the way. A lunch stop at Montville Memorial Park will also be provided. Participants will receive a euro-cut, high-quality cycling kit which has been designed by Robbie McEwen, valued at $260. Registrations include individual, ‘team Robbie’ and corporate team options. Participants of the Tour de Rescue will be raising money for the LifeFlight Foundation, a community-based organisation that supports the LifeFlight helicopter rescue service. You will receive hands-on support from the event organiser to help meet your fundraising target.
