Newcastle Harbour Swim Classic

Following the cancellation of the Newcastle Harbour Swim Classic last year, it returns in 2016 with an opportunity for swimmers to swim in Newcastle Harbour. Entrants into last year's event will have their entry automatically rolled into this year's event. Swimmers can choose from a single crossing (700m) or a double (1.4km). The 700m event starts at the Stockton Ferry Wharf and finishes in the Queens Wharf Quay. The 1400m event starts at Queen Wharf, crosses the Hunter River, follows a series of cans out the front of the Stockton Ferry Wharf and then travels back across the harbour to Queens Wharf Quay. The Harbour Swim is a major fund raiser for the not-for-profit Stockton Surf Life Saving Club.
