||500m, 2.5km and 5km
The annual Sri Chinmoy Lake swims offer three distance options including 500m, 2.5km and 5km.
The open water swims are intended as a true test of swimming ability and skill, and organisers only present awards to swimmers who complete the swim without the aid of a wetsuit.
Trophies are awarded to placegetters in the 2.5km and 5km events, and a pancake breakfast will greet swimmers once they've crossed the finish line.
This is Canberra's oldest lake swim, having been held since 1987.
