Balmoral Swim

The Balmoral Swim for Cancer is a major open water swimming event held at Balmoral Beach in Mosman, Sydney, with the 2027 event scheduled for Sunday 4th April. Set within the sheltered waters of Balmoral, the event is designed to appeal to a broad range of swimmers while also raising funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute.

The program centres on three main distance options. The 1km Around the Bay is the most accessible event, making it well suited to first-time ocean swimmers as well as more experienced participants. The 2.5km Around the Bay is a step up for swimmers wanting a longer challenge without committing to the full distance, while the 5km Around the Bay is the feature endurance swim, taking competitors from Balmoral towards Chinamans Beach and back. The 2.5km and 5km events are split into male, female and elite categories.
