Belair Marathon
About this event
The Belair Marathon is a trail running event set in one of Australia's oldest national parks, taking place on Sunday 28 February 2027 at Belair National Park, South Australia.
Established in 1891, the park's massive trees, historic pavilions, natural wildlife and stunning terrain make it an extraordinary setting for a trail event – and one that's been a favourite for trail runners for decades.
Five distances are on offer, starting at 6:30am ACST:
50km Ultra: 7:00am start | ~1,800m elevation gain | 11-hour cutoff
Marathon (42km): ~1,500m elevation gain
Half Marathon (21.1km)
10km
5km
This is emphatically not a PB course – the terrain is relentlessly undulating and steep in places, with event-exclusive trails through the best of Belair and Crafers. Come for the scenery, the challenge and the trail community.
Full-service aid stations are positioned throughout the course. The event is single-use plastic-free – a collapsible cup or soft flask is mandatory for all distances. GPX file navigation is mandatory for half marathon, marathon and ultra runners.
The event is capped at 500 participants.
