The Capital Duathlon doubles as the ACT Duathlon Championships and is a signature race on the Triathlon ACT calendar promising an exhilarating experience for athletes and spectators alike.
Taking place at the University of Canberra Stromlo Forest Park, renowned for its world-class facilities and breathtaking scenery, the event offers race options for all, from first timers to seasoned professionals, with super sprint, sprint, and standard distance races.
Race distances include a Standard (non-draft legal) 5km run / 40km bike / 5km run, or the Sprint (draft legal) 2.5km run / 20km bike / 5km run, or the Super Sprint 1km run / 10km bike / 2.5km run.
The Standard and Sprint Distance duathlon races serve as coveted World Championships Qualification (WQE) races for the Triathlon Australia team bound for the 2024 Multisport World Championships in Townsville.
