City to Casino Fun Run

The City to Casino Fun Run & Walk is one of Tasmania’s best-known community running events, held in Hobart on Sunday 17 May 2026. Established in 1973, it is promoted as Tasmania’s oldest fun run and attracts thousands of participants of all ages and abilities each year. The event finishes on the waterfront at Wrest Point, creating a lively race-day hub with presentations, entertainment and a strong community atmosphere.

A key feature of the event is its range of distance options. Entrants can choose the 12km Run, which starts at MyState Bank Arena and is a running-only event, the 7km Run & Walk from Cornelian Bay, or the 2.7km Run from Salamanca Place for children aged 12 and under, with adults able to accompany them. The staggered start locations and formats make the event suitable for competitive runners, casual participants and families alike.
