Gravel Unravel Warburton

The Warby Gravel Unravel takes place on Saturday 28 November 2026, starting from Mac Sparke Oval in Warburton and finishing at the Alpine Hotel – a gravel cycling event that celebrates everything great about riding in the Warburton Valley, from champagne gravel roads through temperate rainforest to stunning climbs and sweeping descents.

Rather than a pure race, the event features timed segments throughout the day alongside regrouping points, making it as much about the riding experience and the company as the clock. No AusCycling membership is required to enter.

Three routes are on offer:

Noojee Return Back: 99km | 2,346m elevation | 4 timed segments
The full day out. Rolling through to Noojee and back via Starlings Gap, the Brahams Road descent and the local favourite Reverse Chook, No Chips segment. New for 2026, the Smyths Creek climb replaces any brutal gradients with long, stunning ascents.

Starlings Gap Loop: 50km | 1,075m elevation | 2 timed segments
A flowing local favourite with smooth gravel, gentle gradients and big scenery from start to finish.

Noojee One Way: 46km | 1,111m elevation | 2 timed segments
Roll out along the Yarra River, climb Smyths Creek and cruise into Noojee. Note you'll need to arrange your own return.

Registration opens at 7:30am on the day, with a 9:00am start. Feed zones are positioned along each route. Presentations are at 4:00pm at the Alpine Hotel. Early bird pricing is available until 1 November 2026.
