The Ironman Asia-Pacific Championship is an Ironman distance triathlon starting in Frankston and finishing at St.Kilda's Cantani Gardens.
Athletes begin their day in the town of Frankston, south of Melbourne. The one-loop, 3.8km swim course leaves from the south side of the Frankston pier and heads north, before turning south to finish on the opposite side of the pier.
The two-lap 180km bike course incorporates the Eastlink Tollway, a world-class expressway closed exclusively for the use of competitors on race day.
The iconic point-to-point 42.2km run course also starts in Frankston, and concludes in bayside St.Kilda.
This race offers 75 qualifying slots to the 2015 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
