The Rip SwimThe Rip Swim is a regular 3.5km swim between Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale for intermediate to advanced swimmers.

This open water swim crosses one of Australia's most treacherous stretches of water, known as 'The Rip', between the heads guarding the entry to Port Phillip Bay.

Rather than being an actual race/swim format - the event involves organising a group swim on a number of pre-specified dates.

If you are interested in swimming it is best to from your own group (max 10 people) as each group needs to stay together. If you already have a group ready to go you will be able to nominate your date. If you are an individual, we will do our best to find a group for you.
