Run For Geelongs Kids

Run for Geelong’s Kids is our city's newest community fun run - proudly supporting the development of Barwon Health's new kids' rehabilitation centre. The facility has been designed purely for our littlest heroes who desperately need a new facility that supports their recovery from acute injury or illness once they’ve been discharged from the hospital. Run For Geelong’s Kids is a family-friendly, community event that caters to all fitness levels with a 10km run, 5km run, 5km family walk and 1km kids run. That means even if you haven’t participated in a fun run before there is something at Run For Geelong’s Kids for you. And if you can’t make it at all then you can sign up as a Virtual Runner and still be part of the event from elsewhere. Participants will be able to run or stroll through our towns most iconic streets that will be closed to traffic with lots of family-fun along the way, including live on-course activations from local businesses, live music by local artists and some very entertaining performances to keep you all smiling, all before enjoying the festivities at the event finish line precinct located on Steampacket Gardens. By signing up to run or walk, a major proportion of your entry fee will be going directly back to this local cause. Meaning, not only are you doing something great for your health, you’re also doing something great for our community and the families and kids who need this important service.
