Run Tasmania
About this event
Run Tasmania is a multi-day trail running event hosted by Rapid Ascent, showcasing some of the island state’s most spectacular landscapes. Held across several days, the event takes participants on a journey through varied Tasmanian terrain, combining coastal tracks, forest trails and alpine environments.
The format includes multiple stages, with runners completing a different course each day. Distances vary across stages, offering a mix of achievable daily runs and more challenging routes that feature technical sections and meaningful elevation gain. Participants can enter the full multi-day experience or select individual stages, depending on their goals and availability.
The “Devil” Long Course sees you covering 15-25km per day (88.5km total). The “Quoll” Short Course delivers the same variety in a less “leg sapping” package – 10-23km per day (total of 67.5km) This is more than a race. It’s more than an “experience”. It’s the ultimate trail running adventure.
Comprehensive on-course support, aid stations and professional event management ensure a safe and well-organised experience.
Four days. Four wildly different worlds. Coastal trails with ocean views one day. Alpine peaks the next. Ancient rainforest dripping with moss and mystery on Day 3. And sea cliffs that drop 300 metres to the Southern Ocean as the grand finale. Run Tasmania is ideal for trail runners seeking more than a single race.
