Run the Tan
About this event
Run the Tan is a one lap running event held around Melbourne's iconic Tan Track, around the outside of the Botanical Gardens.
The event's aim is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle for all Australians and raise awareness of the positive impact running and exercise can have on mental health and overall wellbeing.
The event is open to the public as well as featuring specific events for elite runners, celebrities, emergency services and schools.
The Tan Track length is 3.827km and current record holders include Craig Mottran (male record of 10.08, set in 2006), Jessica Hull (female record of 11.31, set in 2023) and Michael Roeger (para record of 11.01, set in 2024).
