The Ray White Samford Stomp is a 28.2km walk from Brisbane to the Samford Valley Hotel in remembrance of our ANZACs. For those who sacrificed so much comes our commitment to honour the brave soldiers who fell during World War I. Walkers from the area are invited to join together on Sunday, September 10th 2017 at the ANZAC SQUARE, Brisbane to walk 28.2km and test their own level of endurance as participants in the SAMFORD STOMP. The SAMFORD STOMP route will take you through Victoria Park trails with stunning city views and rolling hills, along pathways towards Mitchelton and Ferny Grove then over the Samford Valley and finishes at the famous SAMFORD VALLEY HOTEL. The SAMFORD STOMP is mostly downhill and flat, however there are a few challenging uphill’s along the way. The SAMFORD STOMP is a journey of friendship and support not a race, you will be walking with other people in a safe and controlled environment whereby no one is in front of the trek leader or behind the rear trek leader, we will manage the directional route on your behalf, your average speed should be 4-5Km per hour. We will have four rest/water stops along the route. Bus transport from Samford to Anzac Square available during booking process for an additional cost. WHERE: Starting at ANZAC SQUARE, Brisbane. Finishing at the famous Samford Valley Hotel. TIME: 0630 DISTANCE: 28.2km COST: $68, includes BBQ lunch at Samford Valley Hotel and an official Stomp Dog Tag.
