About this event

The Bloody Big Swim is an 11.2km open water swim from Frankston to Mornington, catering for solo swimmers, pairs and teams of four.

The 2016 race will begin at Frankston Life Saving Club with solo swimmers heading off first, followed by duos and teams in waves of 25 swimmers.

The finish line will be located on Mills Beach at Mornington, outside the Mornington Life Saving Club.

Support boats are required for the majority of swimmers, except experienced long distance open water swimmers who are permitted to have a paddler accompany them. See the event website for full details of these requirements.

While the event attracts elite swimmers and a high quality field, it also encourages participation at all levels and is a great opportunity to grab some mates and get a team together for a fun day out on the bay.
