The Bloody Long Walk is a 35km challenge to cure mitochondrial disease (mito) from Victoria Park to Brighton in Melbourne, Victoria.

Enjoy spectacular scenery whilst raising vital funds to help find a cure for mito.

Embark on a picturesque walk starting from Yarra Bend Park, Melbourne. Traverse the city's captivating parklands, then follow the iconic Yarra River, passing vibrant Southbank and Docklands. Continue to Port Phillip Bay, tracing the postcard-perfect beaches of Melbourne, and conclude your journey at St Kilda.

This scenic route is fully supported, with checkpoints along the way to ensure a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Mitochondrial disease (mito) is a debilitating genetic disorder that robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure and potentially death.
