About this event
The True Grit QLD event is a military-inspired obstacle course challenge held at Albert River Wines in Tamborine, Queensland, across Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026. Set on a brand-new course for this location, the event combines rugged winery terrain with mud, climbs, carries and teamwork-focused obstacles to create a demanding but accessible experience for a wide range of fitness levels.
Participants can choose from three event formats: a 10km Elite race, a standard 10km course and a shorter 5km course. The 10km Elite is a timed Saturday-only wave for competitive entrants aged 16 and over, with prizes for the top male and female finishers. The standard 10km is the core True Grit challenge for ages 16+, while the 5km event is designed as a faster, more accessible option for entrants aged 12 and over. True Grit states the full 10km course includes 30+ obstacles, while the 5km course features 15+ obstacles.
With staggered wave starts, optional team entry and free spectator access, True Grit QLD is suited to solo participants, groups and first-timers looking for a high-energy obstacle racing experience in a scenic new setting.
