The Big Bay Swim is a 3.2km open water swim from Port Melbourne to Williamstown, a rare opportunity to swim across Melbourne's main shipping channel.
The swim starts at Sandridge Lifesaving Club in Port Melbourne and travels across Hobsons Bay to the finish line at Nelson Place in Williamstown.
The swim will be supervised by members from the Williamstown Lifesaving Club, using Surfboat IRBs & Lifesavers on boards.
The event helps raise funds to assist the Rotary Club of Point Gellibrand to continue their charity work with causes such as the Challenge Cancer Support Network, Supporting Kids with Cancer and the 20th Man Fund.
