Manly to Bundeena Ocean Swim

The Manly to Bundeena Ocean Swim takes place between Little Manly Beach and Bundeena Beach.

This challenging course is designed for elite, experienced ocean swimmers and teams, navigating through Sydney Harbour, Botany Bay, and concluding at Port Hacking’s Bundeena Beach.

The swim is scheduled for a date between December 14th and 22nd in 2026, with contingency dates extending from January 2nd to January 31st, 2027, depending on ocean conditions.

Participants may face unique obstacles, such as pausing for shipping traffic, mirroring the iconic Manhattan swim's regulations.

Entry is exclusive to those with a history of completing significant marathon swims, including the Palm to Shelly 26km or any of the renowned ocean's seven channel swims.

The event promises a rigorous vetting process for all applicants to ensure competitors meet the high standards required for this night-finish swim. With limited slots available, specifically 20 for solo swimmers, and a minimum speed requirement of 3km per hour, the race is set to showcase world-class endurance and skill.

Support boats, along with a dedicated team, are mandatory for each swimmer, ensuring safety and compliance throughout the event. Interested participants are encouraged to express their interest via email and prepare for an experience that tests the limits of open-water marathon swimming.
