More than 11,300 runners and walkers took to the streets of Melbourne in the Sunday Age City2Sea presented by Westpac.

Two distances options were on offer for entrants, a 15km or 5km course, both working their way from Melbourne’s city streets to the finish line at St.Kilda. The 15km course featured a start alongside the MCG and a loop around Albert Park Lake, taking in some of Melbourne’s sights.

In the women's race, Makda Haji took a convincing win in 50:55, two minutes and twenty seconds ahead of second place Tarli Bird.

In the men’s race, Australian cross-country and marathon representative Liam Adams crossed the line first in 44:34 ahead of Steve Kelly and Stephen Dinneen.
