The Sixfoot Track Marathon is a 45km trail run through the Blue Mountains, from The Explorer's Marked Tree, near Katoomba to Jenolan Caves.
The popular trail run began in 1984 and attracts more than 850 runners each year - with the event regularly selling out in advance.
Entrants have 7 hours to finish the trail marathon with the average participant taking 5hrs 30 mins or more to run the Blue Mountains course.
