The iconic Bogong to Hotham 'Rooftop Run' is a trail run through the Victorian High Country steeped in Australia trail running history.
The 64km course demands respect from runners who need to know their limits, understand the alpine environment and be comfortable running with limited aid along the way. The course is unmarked through remote areas, so navigational skills are required.
Runners are required to carry mandatory gear in the event of prevailing conditions on race day. The nature of the course means conditions may be extreme and change quickly during the race.
2018 sees the 31st anniversary of the event and the big guns are out to celebrate. Are you one to take it up to them and do you have what it takes to dance on Australia's roof-top?
Event organiser Trailsplus donates $1 of each participant's race entry fee to CanTeen, the Australian organisation for Young people Living with cancer.
